Actiphy ImageServer™combines the backup image management capabilities of Actiphy ImageCenter™ with the secure storage capabilities of Actiphy StorageServer™. By moving post-backup operations such as Verify, Replication, Consolidation, and BootCheck™ to a dedicated server, Actiphy ImageServer™ reduces processing load on protected servers and PCs and simplifies backup administration.

Identifies common data blocks across backup images in the same bucket and reuses previously stored data to reduce storage requirements. In Actiphy testing, storage usage dropped by about 71% for uncompressed backups and by about 54% for backups using ActiveImage Protector’s IDDC.
